Staying Warm In Winter

Now that winter has arrived, it's been a bit chilly in Sydney.

It seems like a good idea to write a list on some ways to keep warm.

Things that will keep you warm this winter:
  • A good cup of hot chocolate, or tea. I love a good chai or peppermint. Even a cup of boiling water with a slice of lemon is quite nice.
  • Hot soup with warm, crusty bread. Pumpkin is always a fave.
  • Snuggling up in your bed under warm covers. If you've got a special someone in your life, cuddles under blankets are a lovely and practical way to keep warm.
  • A nice warm bath or shower.
  • Going to the gym always heats me up, especially during a warm-up session!
  • A roaring open fire to roast marshmallows, in a fireplace or a bonfire with friends
  • Baking. Seriously, staying in the kitchen with the oven on can get quite toasty.
  • A good hug (but can also depend on the duration of the hug.)
  • Layers and layers and layers of clothing. Ugg boots around the house. And old comfy jumpers, mmm. Scarves, beanies, mittens, extra thick socks - we only get to wear them once a year!
I nearly got a slow cooker the other day (but they sold out). So much for making plenty of hot soups and stews this winter, guess I'll have to keep resorting to 'borrowing' my Mum's Le Creuset pots. Hopefully will be posting up some yummy things to keep you warm this winter :)
Stay warm everyone :) xo
